Here is another mission to help break the boredome of the our standard rulebook missions. This one comes from Ard boyz 2010 semi-final mission. Da Fog of War.

DA FOG OF WAR:
“Ey dere’s sumfink over dere dat da boss wants, but I can’t sees anyfing. Send in da grots to poke around, and if dere’s sumfink dere, we’ll pile in.”
- Burt, Snakebite Nob

MISSION
This scenario uses 3 objectives, 2 of which must be placed in the neutral, non-deployment zone, table quarters. The remaining objective must be placed in the center of the table. Otherwise placing objectives follows the rules outlined in the rule book.

OBJECTIVE
FOG: The neutral table quarters are effected by fog. At the beginning of each full turn, starting with the second turn, the fog dissipates on a 4+. Roll for each quarter. On turn 5 the fog automatically clears.

Example: Roll at the beginning of turn 2, turn 3, turn 4. 12" from the center of the board is unaffected. If you shoot into, out of, or through the fog (except the 12” radius circle in the center of the board), you must use the Night Fight rules. Units must have the majority of their models in or obscured by the fog to benefit from the Night Fight rules.
You cannot Seize the Initiative in this scenario.

DEPLOYMENT
Spearhead

LENGTH OF GAME
The game lasts 6 turns.

SPECIAL RULES
Reserve, infiltrate, outflanking, deep strike, scout

LINE OF RETREAT
Units that are forced to flee must move toward their friendly, long deployment edge.

CALCULATE RESULTS
Massacre
Hold all 3 objectives.

Major Victory
Hold 2 more objectives than your opponent.

Minor Victory
Hold 1 more objective than your opponent, or if no one controls more objectives than their opponent, have more Kill Points than your opponent.

Tie
If both players control an equal number of objectives and both players have the same number of Kill Points then the game is a tie.

BATTLE POINT MODIFIERS
+1 For holding the central objective.

+1 For having more scoring units in your opponent’s deployment zone then they have in yours.

+1 For killing the highest point enemy unit. (Declare one at the beginning of the game in the case of a tie.)

+1 If your highest point unit survives. (Declare one at the beginning of the game in the case of a tie.)

Note: Tabling your opponent will result in a Major Victory, not a Massacre. If you table your opponent prior to the end of the game, you may spend the rest of the game attempting to attain a Massacre or to earn more Battle Point Modifiers.
