Here we have a good look at the new rules for the Imperial Knight Lancer model we have been looking at since yesterday. It was revealed at Forgeworld's Open Day, and many people are hoping that it is going to have rules that push it out of just the Horus Heresy where it sits now and into Warhammer 40k.

The Cerastus Knight Lancer has some nice bonus's when it comes to close combat, from getting a +1 initiative to forcing Gargantuan and Superheavy Walkers to strike at a -1 to hit. It also can protect itself in the rear with its Ion Shield, but the main strength of the new Knight, is its strength D close combat attacks. It still comes in at a hefty point cost of 400, but you will be able to run this super heavy walker an additional 3d6 inches when needing to cross the field.

The Horus Heresy book III was available today at the Forgeworld Open Day event in limited quantities. Here is a link that someone put up showing the page for the Cerastus Knight-Lancer.
